Job Description: 

The Category Manager Indirect Spend is responsible for overseeing and managing all Indirect procurement categories, incl. MRO, Professional Services, Corporate Services and IT. The Category Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Indirect procurement categories, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The Category Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders within Operations, HR, Finance, and IT.


Key Responsibilities:

  • In close cooperation with internal stakeholders, develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Operations, HR, Finance, and IT to understand their requirements, align procurement strategies, and ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  • Working closely with our MRO Commodity Managers and Contract Managers located on the Delrin sites in Dordrecht (NL) and Washington (West Virginia, US).
  • Conduct RFP/RFQs and lead teams through the evaluation and selection process in accordance with company goals and policies.
  • Review purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements; negotiates with suppliers and approves purchases within their authorized amounts or size.
  • Communicate category strategies, initiatives, and performance updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
  • Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to achieve cost reductions while maintaining service quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier contracts, service delivery, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the categories.
  • Monitor and track cost savings, performance metrics, and KPIs to measure the success of category strategies.
  • Manage the maintenance of agreements with suppliers between Delrin and the supply base.
  • Develop and maintain agreement templates.

Ideal Profile: 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a pre.
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is a preferred 
  • This is a full-time position located in the Netherlands with the ability to commute to the Delrin site in Dordrecht at least two days per week.
